Upcoming Top Luxury Car Launches In 2021
After the unexpected year 2020, everyone is looking forward to 2021. Companies have had to adapt to the changes and think of new ways to shows us their latest models. Although the constant drive for more eco-friendly automobiles makes the engineer’s job harder, we are glad to tell you that speed has not left the show and that there are more awesome cars on the way.
Here is the list of all Upcoming Luxury Cars, which are expected to launch in the year 2021.
1. Aston Martin DBS Superleggera: The DBS Superleggera Volante is powered by an old-school, 5.2-litre, twin-turbocharged V12 that churns out 725PS and a whiplash inducing torque of 900Nm. Removing the roof has not resulted in a drop in performance either as the car does 0-100kmph in 3.6 seconds and boasts of a top speed of 340kmph, which is similar to the coupe. The DBS Superleggera coupe competes with Ferrari’s 812 Superfast. Aston Martin DBS Superleggera is going to launch in India with an estimated price of Rs. 5.00 Crore this year.

2. Rolls Royce Ghost: Rolls Royce Motor Cars is currently working on the updated version of the Ghost that is expected to make its debut in March 2021 with the expected price range of ₹ 6.95 - 7.00 Crore. The new-gen Rolls-Royce Ghost is expected to have 6.75-litre twin-turbo V12 engine that currently produces 570bhp and 900Nm of torque and comes paired to a nine-speed automatic gearbox. Also on offer could be an all electric or Plug-In Hybrid variant. According to Rolls Royce, the 2021 Ghost is capable of hitting 60 mph in just 4.6 seconds, and we're looking forward to verifying that claim at our test track. Rolls Royce also boasts that the new Ghost offers a sharper driving demeanor than the last model.
3. Tesla Roadster: Before the Cybertruck and the Model X, there was one car that cemented Tesla’s name in the electric luxury motoring market. The Roadster, introduced in 2017, is currently not the fastest but the 'quickest' production car in history. Going from 0-60 mph in 1.9 seconds (with the optional SpaceX thrusters), it blew the world away upon its debut. The Roadster is also responsible for creating the ‘Performance Electric Luxury Vehicle’ genre we know today and we're certainly looking for it to touch ground this year.
4. Jaguar I-Pace: Jaguar India has commenced pre-launch bookings for its first all-electric SUV, the I-Pace. It will be powered by two electric motors producing 400PS, backed up by a 90kWh lithium-ion battery. It will do the 0-100kmph run in 4.8 seconds. The I-Pace will be offered in three variants: S, SE and HSE. Jaguar I-Pace is expected to be launched in India in February 2021 with an estimated price of Rs 1.00 - 1.20 Cr.
5. Porsche Taycan: The much-anticipated all-electric Porsche Taycan sedan has finally been unveiled and marks a new era for the German brand. The 4-door sedan comes in two versions - Turbo and Turbo S. The Turbo S puts out a solid 751PS (with overboost) of power and an earth-twisting 1049Nm of torque while the Turbo produces 670PS (with overboost) and an equally impressive 850Nm. The Turbo offers a range of 450km while the Turbo S is good for 402km. The Taycan also makes use of an 800 volt charging architecture that allows for the battery to juice up from 5 to 80 percent in under 23 minutes. It is expected to be launched in India in February 2021 with an estimated price of Rs 1.08 Cr.
6. BMW M3: For 2021, the M3 is all-new and represents the sixth generation of the iconic sports sedan. BMW sounds committed to making that a reality, too; the next M3 will continue to offer a manual transmission. The new M3 features a twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline-six that will be available in two states of tune, making 473 and 503 horsepower. BMW M3 is going to launch in Jun 2021 with an estimated price of Rs. 1.15 Crore.
7. Audi e-Tron GT: Audi model the e-tron GT will be unveiled on February 9, 2021. Audi e-tron GT is a bold-looking electric car with deep ties to the Porsche Taycan. In fact, the two slinky four-door sedans were developed alongside each other and share a cutting-edge 800-volt architecture that allows faster charging and ensures performance stays consistent. The E-Tron GT can be charged to 80 percent in just 20 minutes and also features an industry-first wireless car charging setup. In addition, a two-second over-boost function will increase the power output to 650 horsepower. This allows for a 0 to 60 mph sprint in just 2.7 seconds. The top speed is expected to be around 155 mph (250 km/h) – 162 mpg (260 km/h) just like on the Porsche Taycan. A less powerful, non-RS, version is also expected to come out a bit later.
8. Maserati MC20: The new MC20 mid-engine sports car will debut with a 630-hp twin-turbo V-6 and spawn an all-electric variant. The MC20 will be offered as a two-seater coupe or convertible with a minimalist cabin that's focused on the driver. A collaboration with motorsport engineering company Dallara has resulted in a carbon-fiber structure with aluminum subframes for the suspension and powertrain. This construction minimizes weight, which sets the MC20 up for performance-related success. Maserati claims a zero-to-62-mph time of less than three seconds and a top speed of over 200 mph. Maserati is expected to begin deliveries in international markets by the second quarter of 2021.
