The British Automaker Bentley Initiates A COVID 19 Impact Fund

Bentley Motors Limited is a British manufacturer and marketer of luxury cars and SUVs. The joining and eventual division of Bentley and Rolls-Royce followed a series of mergers and acquisitions. Rolls Royce eventually owned Bentley in 1960 where the brands were virtually identical, but today Rolls-Royce is owned by BMW, and Bentley which is now a unit of Volkswagen AG, have found separate paths to venture.
Cheshire County has been hit hard by the outbreak, and that is why Bentley has launched a Covid impact fund. The Cheshire Community Foundation was tapped to help families and small businesses around Crewe. Back when the virus was raging, Bentley protected its workers with measures more strict than their competitors. Bentley is working with Cheshire Community Foundation (CCF) to launch a COVID impact fund focusing on community projects in the Crewe area. A series of one-off grants ranging from £5,000 to £25,000 will be available from the impact fund, which aims to deliver a 12-month program of activities focused on making a real difference across the community. The launch of the new fund significantly props up the funding available to local organizations in 2021 and will pursue to tackle food poverty, financial education mental health, debt relief.
Zoe Sheppard, CEO of Cheshire Community Foundation, said,
“The whole team at Cheshire Community Foundation is thrilled to support our valued partner Bentley with this grants program. The impact of Covid-19 has been devastating to so many people in the local community, and this fund will enable Crewe charities and not-for-profit organizations to support those who need it most. Bentley’s generosity and commitment are truly inspiring.”
A series of grants will be offered to the local community. From £5,000 to £25,000 ($7,000 to $35,000), the goal is to help offset the bleak impact of lockdown. Such kind of philanthropy is very unusual in the automotive world, and Betley with this gesture has truly shown benevolence.
