Stefano Ricci Presents His First Watch Line

Stefano Ricci, the Florentine luxury lifestyle brand for men, presents his first watch line known as the Octagon collection.

This unique collection of a Perpetual Calendar consists, an Annual Calendar and a Chronograph, featuring a theatrical geometrical design on eight sides. Thelegendary designer Stefano Ricci, who is faithful to nature, has not resisted wealth or exclusivity. Each one is made in limited series of 10 pieces and another 10 are available in a diamond edition, which contains 88 princesses cut stones with a total value of 8.25 carats. All watches were made in honor of Florence, where the company was founded and still based and were designed in an Italian city. All three models octagonal case is made of white gold with a diameter of 45.5 mm and a thickness of 14.8 mm. The hand-stitched crocodile strap features a white gold folding clasp, whose octagonal buckle bears eight radial-notched screws.

The bezel consists of a base, which follows the profile of the middle case, studded on its outer edge with 40 octagonal screws with horizontal notches, and eight trapezoidal elements soldered on to the eight sides, with each one defined by octagonal screws with vertical notches, the one in the center being oversized.

On the 10 Diamond LuxLimited Edition, Perpetual Calendar watches, the engravings are of different animals in nature. The bezels are set with carefully selected princess cut diamond amounting to 8.25 carats.

Each model in the collection has a PF 333 calibre self-winding movement with a 50-hour power reserve and they come beautifully presented in a briarroot wood box with blue velvet lining.

The movements on each timepiece are modular. Stefano Ricci carefully selected a haut-de-gamme manufacturer in Fleurier, Switzerland, to ensure each timepiece is of the highest quality. The movements feature the same self-winding base, operating at 28,800 vibrations/hour, with a variable inertia balance wheel (flat spiral) and two barrels arranged in sequence to guarantee a power reserve of 50 hours.

For the Diamond Lux Limited Editions, every diamond was meticulously selected in the in-house workshops of the Stefano Ricci production site, on the hills of Fiesole. Master goldsmiths set the gems using the ancient a battuta technique, in which the metal is hammered around the diamond, and it is polished, creating a flat surface that is completely devoid of any protuberances.

Every watch is presented in a case befitting its exclusivity. Purchasers of these exclusive watches will be subject to the Stefano Ricci after-service care, which, in the case of their watches, means that should a problem arise, a representative will come to the owner to collect the watch (regardless of location), take it for repairs and have it returned with an extended warranty. The Stefano Ricci Octagon timepieces range from US$120,000 to US$220,000.
