Audi cars are more about luxury and life-style driving rather than speed, even if they are powerful enough to be the roadsters.

Audi is not exactly a race car with blazing speeds of more than 748 kmph. But it is the speed king in general highway, as one of the best performance-lifestyle cars. Zooming at the speed of 150 kmph is definitely an adrenaline rush for any person on the driving seat. This makes Audi the best among street legal cars for persons who like to drive and race occasionally. And its for sure, you would not want someone who is only an occasional speed runner to drive at 748 kmph even if it is a freeway.

Audi Sport Quattro S1, 3.0 sec, 1985

The Sport Quattro was rolled out as a limited production car in 1984. This was developed especially for Group B rallying with several modified facets to its earlier version. The Quattro S1 was made of aluminum alloy featuring a body shell composed of carbon-kevlar. The car was powered with DOHC 4 valves per cylinder. It is also equipped with Bosch LH Jetronic fuel Injection and KKK K27 turbocharger Inline-five engine. This car won the 1985 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb setting a record. Only 224 units of this car was manufactured. The Audi Quattro cars were produced as rally cars and they were used in competition racing.

Audi R8 LMS GT3, 3.1 sec, 2011

The Audi R8 is based on Audi Space Frame, which uses aluminum monocoque. The first Audi R8 LMS was unveiled at the Essen Motor Show. The R8 LMS is the race version of R8 V10 and R8 GT, both of which are super cars. The engine can produce 500 bhp of power. The car has a gearbox that feature six-speed sequential units. The suspension of this car is obtained via double wishbone with coil springs and hydraulic dampers. The car is equipped with ceramic discs and other features like race-specific ABS and traction control system. The GT3 LMS was launched at US $400,000 and this model is still on-going production.

Audi RS7, 3.6 sec, 2014

The model was first introduced in 2010 as A7. This was upgraded with better power, complimentary suspension and chassis upgrades to revamp as RS7. The latter model also had an upgraded design. RS7 was introduced with a 4.0L twin-turbocharged V8 engine. By 2017, this model came up with hybridized horsepower of 700 hp. It uses a rear-biased all-wheel drive system with seven-speed DSG. The interior of this car is made roomy and still with high-end upholstery. The interior features better luxury and sportiness. The dashboard is leather trimmed and carbon fiber are inserted around the gear selector.

Audi TT RS, 3.5 sec, 2012

The TT RS has an amalgamated engine with technology borrowed from both VRG engine of Volkswagen and 2.5L inline four- and five-cylinder engine. The TT variants of Audi cars were marketed by Volkswagen Group, which became a subsidiary since 1998. TT RS debuted at the 2009 Geneva Auto Show with its new engine. The inline engine produces a DIN-rated power output of 335 hp at 6,700 rpm and a torque of 450 Nm at 5,748 rpm. This car has an electronically limited speed of 250 kmph. The 2012 version, in fact, was TT RS Plus, which featured an updated power and torque. This special variant has a top speed of 280 kmph.

Audi S8, 3.6 sec, 2013

The 2013 Audi was an improved variation of the Third Generation Audi S8. Known as D4, this generation were produced from 2013. Since 2013, the improved version is being produced. The latter had an acceleration improved to 4.1 seconds. The top speed of this car is 250 kmph. Further in 2016, this variant further reducing acceleration to 3.8 seconds, while the maximum speed limit reached to 305 kmph.
