Owen Drew- The Most Expensive Candle in the world, which is ultimate in fragrance, beauty, luxury and artisanship. The Luxury candle designers Owen Drew have taken the international fragrance market by storm since they launched in early 2017.
The Birkenhead based firm have gone from strength to strength since founder, Drew Cockton, created his first candle in the kitchen of his Wallasey home back in 2016.
The firm made headlines last year when it released the world’s most expensive candle, encased in 24-carat gold and retailing at an eye watering £750. To celebrate Meghan Markle wedding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle wedding, the brand decided to create the most expensive candle in the world.
This romantic scented candle, designed by the brand's founder Drew Cockton, is directly inspired by the delicious scents of bouquets and floral compositions planned for the royal wedding on May 19th 2018. Drew wanted to design something completely luxurious, so he used Bulgarian Rose oil and Indian Jasmine oil which are amongst the most expensive essential oils in the world; for just 1KG over 2 million roses are used. He added peony notes, since it’s the bride’s favourite flower, complimented by Geranium oil from the Nile Delta to enhance the green notes of the foliage. Beech and Birch notes are supported by Cedarwood oil from the Americas. It includes expensive musks round off the whole fragrance giving it a wonderfully floral finish.” In addition to the use of precious oils and perfumes, the candles are set in vessels that are made of 24 carat gold and handmade by skilled artisans. Only 12 candles limited edition is created in addition to the one offered to the royal couple and another one to be donated to The Spider-Ede Appeal, a charity assisting the people with brain tumors.
