Princess Margaret's bespoke Rolls-Royce goes up for auction in Cambridgeshire

Warrington-based auction house H&H Sales is all set sale Princess Margaret's longest serving Rolls-Royce car at auction later this month - and is expected to fetch around £50,000 - £60,000. Yes, that’s right!

Hand-crafted to unique get, the Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith II was finished in cardinal red with a Black Everflex Roof and was sent to Kensington Palace on Might 16 1980. Its bespoke interior fittings include low-mounted seats, enlarged vanity mirrors and special spotlights, which enabled Princess Margaret to check on her appearance at the time. The Rolls Royce also features Conventional Pennant and Royal Crest mountings and a law enforcement blue gentle – objects not found on your ‘everyday’ Rolls Royce.

Forty-four thousand miles later on February 15 2002, its last official journey was to convey family members to her funeral at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle.
