Buckingham palace has launched it’s own brand of gin!
Dry Gin is the Queen Elizabeth II‘s one of the favourite beverages
Queen Elizabeth II‘s is famous for her passions, from horse riding to raising corgis; the monarch is also well known for her love of gin.
To make your summer evenings regal a department of the Royal Household, the Royal Collection Trust, has launched Buckingham Palace Gin taking inspiration from the Queen’s favourite beverage. The beverage includes ingredients that stem from the queen's very own rear garden at the renowned palace. The gin is infused with 12 botanicals, some of which, including lemon verbena, hawthorn berries, bay leaves, and mulberry leaves, which have been sourced from the gardens of Buckingham Palace.
The Royal Collection Trust’s also offered an ideal recipe for enjoying the gin in the announcement. As per trust the recommended serving method, is to pour a measure of the gin into an ice-filled short tumbler before topping up with tonic and garnishing it with a slice of lemon.
However, this isn't the first time the royals have dabbled in spirit production. The Prince Charles produces organic gin at his Cornwall estate, while the queen's Balmoral estate in Scotland distills single-malt whiskey.
Once parties and gatherings will be resumed the luxury spirit will be served at future events at Buckingham Palace.
The Buckingham Palace Gin comes in an elegant, floral-designed glass bottle and is priced at $50. The royal fans of U.K. can order their own bottles of the spirit online at royalcollectionsshop.co.uk.
As per reports all profits from sales of the gin will go towards the Trust, which looks after the Royal Collection art collection and oversees all public openings of the Queen’s official residences.
“Sip it (as the Queen does) or use it to polish your jewelry (as the Queen also does).”
